Fab.com Hits 7 Million Members Worldwide

Online designer shop, Fab.com has been a very big story for the last year or so. And the main reason for that has been the phenomenal growth that the company has seen since launching.
Back in June, numbers stood at little over 4.5 million members and this was just after being in business for a year. As at this writing, the company’s collective membership worldwide is a staggering 7 million people. And keep in mind that Fab.com is essentially an ecommerce site.
But things are changing. According to CEO, Jason Goldberg, the company no longer feels the sign-up process offers a good user experience and as decided to axe it all together. U.S. users were the first to see a page devoid of registration and their European counterparts saw the same thing 10 days later. Said Goldberg: “Great user experiences get out of the way and help people get sh*t done. Our mobile experience has not required login — that was the right way to do it.”
Fab.com has taken a rather subtle approach to getting its hands on customer information because people who want to add an item to a favorites list or to buy something will still have to register. And in the end, it’s the people that buy stuff that matters.
With over 10,000 products to choose from every day and an ever growing base of users, revenues for the company will almost certainly make investors happy.
